This older girl was left at our gate with her buddy, Scrapper, by her owners whom had to move and had no room to accommodate the dogs. She, too, is a bit confused about why she is now living at the Refugio but we are hopeful her timid but sweet disposition will win the heart of a new human.
Approximately 5 years in age, Bandita is a medium sized gal with a full figure, short, fawn-colored fur and with soulful brown eyes. It would be great if both she and Scrapper were adopted together to the same loving home, though they each would likely make a separation transition with enough affection and care.
Older dogs such as Bandita are more difficult to place for adoption. And because we have the facility known as the Sanctuary to house harder to adopt, older dogs, she may remain with us. Sponsorship to care for these older dogs runs $300 per year, which is primarily what it costs to feed and vaccinate them.
Can you help sponsor Bandita? To do so, visit our donations page and select the appropriate box that works within your budget and desire to help these wonderful, abandoned dogs of Costa Rica.
Bandita thanks you for your generous giving heart.
